CoreNotes is designed to help you extract structured study materials from textbook pages. We may collect the following types of information:

  • Scanned Content: Text extracted from images you capture or upload within the app.
  • Account Data: Email address and authentication details when you create an account.
  • Usage Data: Anonymous data such as session length, app crashes, or feature usage, to improve performance and user experience.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Extract and analyze text from textbook images using OCR and AI.
  • Generate structured notes, flashcards, and quizzes from your scanned content.
  • Sync your study materials across devices via cloud storage.
  • Improve app performance and user experience.

Your scanned content is processed via third-party AI services (OpenAI) to generate study materials. Data is stored securely using Supabase cloud infrastructure.


3. Third-Party Services

CoreNotes uses the following third-party services:

  • Google ML Kit for on-device OCR text extraction.
  • OpenAI API for AI-powered content analysis and study material generation.
  • Supabase for cloud storage and authentication.
  • Superwall for subscription management.

These services may collect limited technical data. Scanned text is sent to OpenAI for processing but is not used to train their models.


4. Data Security

We take data security seriously. All data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption and stored securely in the cloud.

You are responsible for protecting your device and account credentials.


5. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can:

  • View or delete your scanned content and generated study materials.
  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time.
  • Uninstall the app to remove all local data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll notify you of any major changes through the app or app store listing.
